Cockapoo Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very High Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Yeungling, Yeungling is a 1.5-year-old Cockapoo that weighs 16.5 lbs . He is up to date on all his shots as well as neutered. I can take 1,000 pictures but all you will see is black. He has some white on his legs but entire face and eyes is jet black. HIGH energy dog, does not seem to have had any formal training. We are working with the basics now and progressing nicely. He crates trained and gets along well with other dogs. I have seen no bad behavior from him personally but both times we have taken him to the vet they stressed to me he should not be around children due to their reaction when they tried to examine him. - Doesn't ... (Read More)walk well on the leash - Potty trained - Crate trained - Eats from the hand easily and gently - No shed Some of the things we have loved about him is his energy. He LOVES the snow. I have been around dogs my entire life and NEVER have I seen anything like it. It may say he weighs 16.5 lbs but with all his hair, he looks like he is 25 lbs which is why the cold doesn't seem to bother him'|he's boundless. When I cuddle with him and he lays his head on my shoulder, he coo's like a baby. He loves to be loved and he loves to be with the gang. Wherever the action is Yeungling is there. Ying is VERY expressive. He has a lot of silly noises, loving noises as well as warning growls. We have been working slowly on learning his behaviors. I gave him a bath yesterday in the tub for the first time. I moved slowly with him, not knowing what to expect but all in all it went well. 20 min later he was drying his hair on our furniture. ? The adoption fee is $350. If you are interested in finding out more about Yeungling, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.brokentailrescue.org/adoption-application/ We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Pit Bull    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Most Cats
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hi! My name is Melman and I'm a 60 lb Marshmellow, I mean Pit Bull. I am housebroken, crate trained and know basic commands. Foster mom says I still need to work on my leash manners but it's only because I get so excited to meet new friends. My favorite thing to do is play with my foster sister and I would love to go to a home with a playful sister of a similar energy level. I also love walks, toys and snuggling. There is a very loud, dramatic cat here and while I am sometimes curious, I mostly try to ignore her. Since I don't always realize how big I am a home with no very small children might be best. *Note - Melman has recently ... (Read More)had knee surgery to repair a torn ligament. Domestic Cat    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Ferdinand is a big sweet 5-year-old love-hunk. He has a huge head with sweet green eyes and a cow-cat style black-and-white coat. He is shy at first but responds gratefully to a slow approach and gentle head scritches. Ferdinand is a mellow creature who would love to snuggle up with you. He should do well with other cats after a proper introduction. He would probably be fine with a respectful dog and with older children who can respect his initial shyness. He uses his litter box every time and is well behaved around the house. He has a stubby tail-about 4 inches long-which looks like there was some trauma long ago. It's left him with a funny ... Compatibility: Good w/ Male Dogs Only, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Jada is the most adorable 43lb, 7 year old pocket pittie you will ever meet. Jada is extremely people friendly and gets along with everyone immediately. She wins everyone over with her sweet demeanor and unconditional love. If you are looking for a cuddle partner, look no further - Jada is your girl! Jada thinks she is a lap dog and will curl up on your lap or wrap herself in blankets to take a nap. She is already housetrained, and knows sit, paw, and down. Jada loves to eat, but will patiently sit and wait for her food until you tell her it's ok. Since she is so food motivated, she is a really fun dog to train! She learns quickly ... (Read More)and recently mastered crate, stay, and drop it, and we are currently working on listening with distractions and not jumping to greet people. Jada would love to continue her training in her new home and would also benefit from formal training. You would never guess Jada is 7! She is a little ball of energy who loves to go for runs and play tug-of-war. She gets really into play time so older, dog savvy children or adults would be best for her. Jada is very reactive to other dogs on leash. She is also selective with dogs during playtime and only gets along with large submissive males after proper introductions. We haven't seen her with cats, but from her interest in squirrels, no cats is best. Jada has been very happy being the only pet in the household! Jada is also wonderful in the car! Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Bluebery, the sweetest seven year old, 60 pound "velvet hippo"-an endearment earned from his adorable face. Blueberry's foster mom says he is as "sweet as pie"-blueberry pie, we're sure! Sadly, Blueberry has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, which requires daily medication to keep his thyroid levels balanced. He takes his meds in his food, so it is very easy. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-06-00600Maddie (female)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi, I'm Maddie! I'm a loving 45lb, 3.5 year old Whippet/Pitbull mix. Not to brag, but I am extremely smart. I am house-trained, crate-trained, and know many commands;%A0%A0 sit, down, paw, wait.%A0 I'm willing to learn more too if you have a treat, a toy, or some love- I'm not picky.%A0 I also love walks and can go for miles and miles.%A0 I do not %A0pull on my leash because I want to be right next to you the whole time, not in front.%A0 What kind of walk would it be if I'm not even next to you?!%A0 This makes me a great running partner! I sometimes get a little too excited if I see something cool, but with a little reminding I'm ... (Read More)right back at your side. %A0 %A0 I used to live with dogs and loved it!%A0 Having a dog friend to run around with is the best. I live with humans and cats now, which is pretty great too because I only have to share my cuddle time and belly rubs with my cat buddy. %A0 I'm wary of strangers (shouldn't we all be?) and may growl at them, but if I'm introduced slowly and properly, I'll be their best friend! Sometimes I get spooked by things I can't explain so I should be with an adopter who knows how to watch for my behavior changes and redirect my attentions. Formal training would really benefit me and it would also help develop my bond with my new family! Ideally, a quiet home with no kids would be best for me! I love to play and really need to be kept stimulated since I'm very intelligent. My favorite games are tug of war, fetch, and keep away.%A0 I get pretty into it, but once my foster parents says 'drop it' I know it's time to let go.%A0 I get really excited about play time, so much so that my whole body wags and my tail whips around really fast.%A0 It could definitely knock down a small child so adults are best for me to play with. I would really love to learn more games and do more training so I'm kept stimulated and not bored. %A0 Moving is a hassle, so I'd really love a home to grow up in.%A0 Preferably a place where we can be really active and learn new things together! If you are interested in finding out more about Maddie, please fill out an application on our website by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://www.brokentailrescue.org/adoption-application/ Sage is being fostered in Framingham and the adoption fee is $300.
